As a Corporate Communications Specialist, I had the chance to spearhead and take part in the following on the Strategic Communications team at CUNA Mutual Group:
Created electronic content including intranet banners, Internet ads, PowerPoint presentations, and graphics.
Drafted speaking points, presentations, and speeches for our 110 million business customers and other company leaders; drafted and administered employee surveys.
Reported, wrote, and edited all employee communications; anticipated the communication needs of the identified audience and proactively suggested communication strategies to meet their needs, in compliance with corporate brand standards and strong Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion focus.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was one of my more important roles within the CUNA Mutual Group Family. From copywriting documents and emails to certifying inclusive language and collaborating with the DEI team on the importance of intersectionality, that work is showcased here.
Strategic Communications was a main focus throughout my time at CUNA. This was my managing team, and who I collaborated with the most on projects, and research.
One of my more important projects, as of yet, has been re-entry communications for both employees and contractors to safely relocate to their office spaces on the company's Madison, WI campus.
Sometimes People Leaders, aka the CUNA Mutual Group Directors, Managers, and C-Suite Executives, have to stay up-to-date on the latest news and events that happen within the company. Also, these individuals need tips and tricks on how to better communicate to their teams and various networks within the company. The People Leader Emails and Leadership Bulletin did just that for them.
