NYC No More... *shrugs*

Remember around this time last year I was accepted into the Dream Careers Internship Program? Yeah, me too.

This month through next, I would've been taking on the streets of New York--in hopes of finding the right career for me (in the PR/journalism field). The opportunities were endless and who knows.. I could've been helping Teen Vogue with their next issue or parading through the streets as the black Carrie Bradshaw.

However, life doesn't always work out the way we planned it. Sometimes, decisions have to be made.

After finding out that this internship program was going to cost my family more than $10k, the decision was easy...especially since I was already planning for graduate school. This decision surprisingly didn't even upset me. With the help of my parents, the move to Atlanta would be more beneficial during this time in my life. Not only would graduate school serve as an important asset to my life, but ATL is a great first step to a fast-paced, PR/Journalism lifestyle.

In addition, something just wasn't sitting right with me moving to NYC for the summer and then having to rush to ATL for orientation/school. I wouldn't have had enough time to spend with my friends & family.

This goes to show that everything happens for a reason.
